"A colleague and I attended the Imagicom WCDMA Radio Interface course earlier this year. We both found the course very worthwhile despite coming to it with very different levels of understanding. The course was presented in a manner which allowed those without a UMTS (or even radio) background to understand whilst the detailed information is there for cellular radio engineers who already know about the UMTS system. The course was also very broad based and whilst concentrating on the radio related issues covered the whole topic very well. Both the written material and the presentation was of a very good quality." |

WCDMA, The Complete Technology Course. "In the rapidly evolving mobile telecoms arena, the THIRD GENERATION brings yet another layer of complexity. Keeping up with these advances is difficult - there are hundreds of specs to read through! Alternatively, a good training course takes advantage of the skills of others, in distilling the relevant information. The IMAGICOM course did just this, picking out and explaining the important features of the system. There was a lot to cover in just a week, going from core network to radio layer - just too much to deal with it all in detail. However, as a primer for those not familiar with UMTS, the level was just right, with enough detail to explain the "whys" of the system, without getting into low level detail - which may not be relevant to everyone. Just enough information to begin understanding, without mental overload! I came along with about three weeks book-reading experience of mobile comms, and left with a lot more. The Moeller centre is an excellent venue - being in Cambridge, at the "heart of learning". The rooms are bright and modern, comfortable and the food was always looked forward to. The lecture rooms were good too, with a nice light area for coffee and biscuits between sessions." |

WCDMA Radio Interface Course "Good coverage of material reflecting the title of the course, which is not always the case. The Powerpoint slides were very good. Easy and relaxed presentation style. Just about the right amount of information - not overloaded. Material presented at correct pace." |

The Complete WCDMA Technology Course "Having attended the course almost a year ago the knowledge gained on the UMTS course is still understandable. This is credit to Andrew Richardson's technical knowledge and his ability to present the lecture well. There was alot of information to cover in the 5 days so the course is quite intense, but you will find that the lectures were well structured and interactive so you go away with alot of information about UMTS." |
